Mack W. "Mickey" Bonds

July 20, 1943 - August 8, 2021

Mack W. “Mickey” Bonds, 78, of Beaumont, died Sunday, August 8, 2021. He was born on July 20, 1943, in Kilgore, to Peggy Davis Bonds and Mack Adam Bonds.

Mickey enjoyed playing basketball in High School. He moved to Kansas where he attended two years at a junior college. He soon found the love of his life, Janice Maggard, and they married soon after. They had two children, Nancy and David. Mickey enjoyed fishing, camping, bird watching, gardening, reading, and studying the bible. He could answer any question you asked him about scripture. He loved God, family, and his friends. He spent many hours at his children and then grandchildren’s activities. Mickey worked at Exxon Mobil in both Kansas and Texas for thirty-three years. Later in life he enjoyed watching a good western and spending time outside.

Suvivors include his wife, Janice Bonds, of Beaumont; daughter, Nancy Combs and her husband, Henry, of Orange; son, David Bonds and his wife, Lori, of Orange; granddaughters, Sarah Stringer and her husband, Jeff, of Orange and Kelsie Nolan and her husband, Clint, of Buna; grandsons, Logan Bonds, of Orange; Dalton Bonds and his fiancée, Kelcie Thomacee, of Orange; Ryan Johnson and his wife, Shara, of Evadale; Ryan Holland and his wife, Breanna, of Orange; Christian Holland and his wife, Katherine, of Detroit, Michigan; Tanner Holland, of Houston; and Jessie Combs, of Kountze; great-grandchildren, Danielle Stringer; Jacob Stringer; Hazel Holland; Kadence Nolan; Beckett Nolan; Ryder Jo Combs; and Allie Johnson; sisters, Sherry Henderson and Lindy Rich; and brothers, Larry Bonds and his wife, Shirley and Joe Bonds and his wife, Diane.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Bonds’ funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
