Margaret Ann Darby, 79, of Kountze, died Tuesday, October 1, 2024.  She was born on January 10, 1945, to Evelyn Hellberg Crowell and Charles Crowell.

Survivors include her children, John Darby and his wife, Dusti, of Buna; Bryan Darby and his wife, Carrie Ann, of Kountze; and Craig Darby and his wife, Heather, of Orange; grandchildren, Tyler Darby; Caleb Darby; Cody Darby; Tori Bell; Lena Luthe; Coy Darby; and Clay Darby; step-grandchildren, Colby Quebodeaux; and Bay Quebodeaux; great-grandchildren, Brylee Grace Darby; Kate Darby; Hadleigh Darby; and Charli Quebodeaux; siblings, Charlotte Sneed and her husband, Billy, of College Station; Tommy Crowell and his wife, Sherry, of Marshall; Charles Crowell and his wife, Theresa, of Richmond; and Pam Brocato and her husband, Chuck, of Kountze.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, John Louis Darby.

A gathering of Mrs. Darby’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 7:30p.m., Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. Her funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 4, 2024, at Broussard’s, Kountze.  Her cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium.
