Marian Ellen Leone
Marian Ellen Leone, 67, of Nederland, died Thursday, December 22, 2022. She was born September 26, 1955, in Port Arthur, to Dorothy and Louis Ross, Sr.
Mrs. Leone took pride in being a registered nurse for nearly forty years. She graduated from Lamar University. She loved classic rock, word games, and family game nights with her family. Above all else, she loved spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Jere` Redd; Vanessa Hofstad and husband, Kevin; and Tiffany Castleman and husband, William; brother, Louis Ross, Jr. and wife, Margaret; grandchildren, Anthony, Jonathon, Daniel, Joshua, Malia, Meghan, Chris, Nathan, Lance and Cianna; great-grandchildren, Aidan, Luke, Dante, Liam, Addison, Jaxton, Adi Shakti, and Livianna; and friend, Lisa Morse.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Reagan Earl Leone; son, Derek Leone; four brothers; and one sister.
Cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

I met Marian in the summer of 1983 when we started Nursing School at Lamar University. We were close buddies then and even went to State Boards in Austin. We had a lot of wonderful memories to share.
Sorry to lose her so soon, I am just a few months older than she was. I know she had experienced many loses in her life and the loss of Reagan was just too much for this kind heart to bear.
