Marian Walker

Marian Walker, 70, of Kirbyville, died Sunday, January 16, 2022.  She was born on July 31, 1951, in Wichita, Kansas, to Henrietta Smarsh Meis and Leonard Meis.

She enjoyed raising pygmy goats and tending to her farm; she also loved her Houston Astros.  Marian’s granddaughters meant the world to her, and she enjoyed watching them play soccer.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and Nana.

Survivors include her son, Jeremy Walker and his wife, Heather, of Lumberton; daughter, Mindy Stocker and her husband, Joe, of Evansville, Indiana; grandchildren, Tessa, Alanna “Sushi”, and Stella; brother, Lin Meis of Wichita, Kansas; and many other loving family members and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of forty-four years, Mike Walker; and brother, Don Meis.

A gathering of Marian’s family and friends will begin at 9:30 a.m., with her memorial service at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  Her committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium.  Please observe social distancing guidelines.
