Marilyn DeWald Silkwood

Marilyn DeWald Silkwood, 86, of Houston, died Friday, January 3, 2025, at Eagle’s Trace Retirement Center, Houston. She was born on October 20, 1938, to Irma Drew Bower DeWald and Woodrow C. DeWald, in Beaumont.  Marilyn was a native of Beaumont, Houston, and East Texas.

Survivors include her sons, Kyle Silkwood and Candace Hale of Beaumont and Jon Silkwood and his wife, Pam, of Marina, California; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Haskell G. Silkwood; daughter, Leslie Silkwood; and son, Jay Silkwood.

A graveside service for Mrs. Silkwood will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Magnolia Cemetery, 2291 Pine Street, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
