Martha Cupit Allred, 87, of Beaumont, died Sunday, November 6, 2022, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. She was born on May 22, 1935, to Rosalie Garrett Cupit and Thomas Cupit, in Natchez, Mississippi.

Martha dedicated her life to taking care of her husband and children. Even though she was not an outdoor enthusiast, to be with her family she went camping, snow skiing, canoeing, and boating. She even hiked the Grand Canyon, Guadeloupe, and Big Ben. Everyone knew there was a gourmet meal at the end of the day. Her passion was focused on cooking delicious meals every night. Martha had a reputation in the neighborhood. All the children on and around Continental Lane showed up at our door to receive fresh bread, delicious deserts, and gourmet dinners. Her dedication to her family showed through her passion in cooking. Attention was taken by her children who could feel the love from her heart. No other has shown more love to Rudy, children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren.

My deepest condolences to Rudy and all the Allred family. They lost a wonderful Matriarch. Martha and Rudy were my dear friends. Martha loved doing all things for her entire family members. Martha loved to update me when I visited them. Martha liked to be involved in all family activities. The one I remember most is when she, Rudy, Terri and Cheryl joined two other family groups for a hike into Grand Canyon National Park from the North Rim. If you would like to hear the rest of the story please contact me.

My heart is hurting for all of you. I am sad for myself because I missed a chance to have another visit with her. I just heard this sad news tonight after the visitation. She truely was an outstanding person who put family and friends first. Hold tight to each and may your love and faith give you some peace. In God’s Love, Suzy
