Mary Elizabeth Linscomb

September 11, 1939 - January 29, 2025

Mary Elizabeth Linscomb, 85, of Lumberton, Texas, passed away after her long battle with Alzheimer’s on January 29, 2025.

She was born in Paris, Texas, on September 11, 1939, to her mother and father, Ruthie May McFadden and Thomas Truman Perry. Mary married the love of her life, Everett James Linscomb on May 17, 1958. They went on to have four children and were happily married for 60 years.

Mary was strong-willed, free-spirited, and had a love for all things living and growing.

She worked and retired from BISD and Beaumont State Center. In her free time, she enjoyed travelling with her husband, square-dancing, cactus-making and doll-making. Mary enjoyed her pets and her plants, and she was proud of her Native American heritage. She encouraged learning and never missed an opportunity to teach others.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett James Linscomb, Sr. and her parents, Thomas Truman Perry and Ruthie May McFadden Bivens; as well as her three sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by her children, Lois Kucera and her husband, Mark Kucera, of Lumberton, Everett James Linscomb, Jr. and his wife, Marinell, of Beaumont, Sharon Wilkerson and her husband, Carl Wilkerson, of Nederland, and Betty Linscomb of Beaumont; stepsiblings, Pat Lawrence and Eddie Perry; and stepmother, Mildred Perry of Vidor; her nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and including her many nieces and nephews.

Mary loved her family and will be sorely missed by all.
