Mary Grace Elliott

Mary Grace Elliott, 80, of Vidor, passed away Friday, September 23, 2022. She was born September 10, 1942, in Beaumont, Texas. She met and married the love of her life, Kenneth, September 27, 1963. She was a member of Eastgate United Pentecostal Church. Mary was a 1961 Vidor High School graduate. She acted as the Vidor Christian Academy Principle for two years. Mary loved to spend her afternoons enjoying a cup of hot tea, what she lovingly called her “Tea Time.” She will be greatly missed by her family and friends who loved her.

She is survived by her children, Tina Janise, and Troy Elliott and his wife, Katie; grandchildren, Alishia Elliott; Megan Dimas and her husband, Daniel; Mollea Davis and her husband, Nick, and Trevor Elliott and his wife, Courtney, all of Vidor; great-grandchildren, Kheaper, Kolt, Holly, Mia-Lee, Noah, Gracelynn, Elania, Addalynn, Brinlee and Ryann; siblings, Gene Alvis and his wife, Jo, of Bleakwood; Charlie Alvis and his wife, Muzette; Virginia Perkins and her husband, David, and Kenneth Jarrell all of Vidor.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Elliott; parents, E.C. Alvis and Grace Jarrell; brothers Lee Jarrell and Lynn Jarrell; son, Kevin Elliott; and son-in-law, Gary Janise.

A gathering of Mrs. Elliott’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 26, 2022, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Matthew Tuttle. Interment will follow at Williamson Cemetery in Vidor.
