Mary Jimenez

February 13, 1930 - August 14, 2021

Mary Aguilar Jimenez, 91, passed away August 14, 2021, after a short covid illness. She was born on February 13, 1930, in Bonus, Texas, to Joe Aguilar and Justa Castillo Aguilar.

Mary met Eulalio Rivera Jimenez and was married in 1948 and were married for 53 years. She became a “stay-at-home” wife and mom. Years later in 1961 her husband took a transfer with his employment to transfer to Beaumont, Texas, to continue working for Texas Gulf Sulphur Co. She became a member of Praise Christian Center now named Praise Church. She loved and enjoyed being part of this church and Loved Jesus with all her heart.

Mary and Eulalio were blessed to have traveled to all 50 states including Canada and Mexico. Mary and her husband, Eulalio (Larry) purchased a camper and did most of their traveling in it including her passion flounder fishing at roll-over-pass in Gilchrist, Texas, they would spend weeks at a time fishing and camping there. She was a great flounder fisherwoman and always caught the big ones. Mary also enjoyed knitting and sewing.

During her lifetime she enjoyed cooking and baking and watching here children grow-up and get married and blessed with grandchildren and seeing them grow-up as well.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Eulalio (Larry) Rivera Jimenez; daughter, Stella Lopez; brother, Domingo Aguilar; three sisters, Manuela of Kansas, Antonia Maldonado from Kansas and Julia Jimenez from Wharton, Texas; a great-grandson, Daryan Jones of Vidor, Texas. Mary is survived by her sister, Margarita Landa of  Beaumont, Texas, and her sister-in-law, Josephine Jimenez of Lumberton, Texas; daughter, Esther Biano and husband, Mike Biano of Vidor, Texas; son, Larry A. Jimenez and wife, Kerry N. Jimenez of Kountze, Texas; son, Paul A. Jimenez and wife, Yolanda P. Jimenez, of Beaumont, Texas; grandson, Larry Korey Jimenez of Livingston, Texas;  granddaughter, Susan K. Beck and husband, Damon Beck of Humble, Texas; granddaughter, Nikki K. Roux and husband, Ryan Roux, of Humble, Texas; granddaughter, Rachel Jones of Vidor, Texas; granddaughter, Julie Marie Dula and husband, Jeremy Dula of New Jersey; grandson, David Biano of Vidor, Texas; granddaughter, Rosemary Jimenez Allred and husband, Tommy Allred, of Dripping Springs, Texas; granddaughter, Erika P. Smith and husband, Josh Smith of New Braunfels, Texas; nephew, Roy Jimenez and wife, Juanita Jimenez, from Beaumont, Texas; niece, Vera Hebert and husband, Joe Hebert, from Lumberton, Texas; niece, Debbie Jimenez Raine and husband, Freddy Raine, from San Francisco, Ca. Mary also leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 3 great- great-grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces and great-nephews; and great-nieces.

A gathering of Mrs. Jimenez’s family and friends will begin at 9:30 a.m., with her funeral service to follow at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 23, 2021, at Broussard’s 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kindred Hospice in Beaumont and Southwest Texas Home Health in Bridge City for their care and compassion.

    I’m so sorry for your loss. May God give you all peace to know that she is with Daryan smiling and being taken care of by our great healer Jesus!
    I am a Texas Gulf Sulfur kid too, my Dad was at the Beaumont plant too.
