Mary Lou Chance

Mary Lou Chance, 87, of Beaumont, died Friday, February 27, 2026. She was born on September 29, 1938, to Gwendolyn Murray Wash and Elbert Wash, in Brownwood.

Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Alaniz and her husband, Richard, of Beaumont; brother, Dennis Walsh and his wife, Candy, of Beaumont and Larry Walsh and his wife, Kris, of San Marcos; grandchildren, Ryan Alaniz of Beaumont; Autumn Shockley of Sour Lake; and Michael Thomas and his wife, Cheyenne Vanfleet; great-grandchildren, Mason Alaniz, Jozzy Kern, Kayson Kern, Yoshuka Vanfleet-Thomas, and Cordal Vanfleet-Thomas; and numerous other family members.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Glen “Bobby” Chance; parents; and daughter, Pamela Chance.

Mrs. Chance’s cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
