Mary Lynn Merrick
Mary Lynn Merrick, 79, of Beaumont, died Sunday, February 23, 2025. She was born on July 14, 1945, in Camden, Arkansas, to Mary Ellen Stough and Leonard E. Whitten, Sr.
Survivors include her children, Donna Lopez and her husband, Manny, of Eddy; Melanie Daleo and her husband, Scooter, of Beaumont; and Tiffanie Fernandez of Saint Cloud, Florida; grandchildren, Matthew Hassell, Malinda Wierzgac, Madison Stelly, Alex “Joey” Stelly; Alex Walter, and Zoe Fernandez; great-grandchildren, Mitchell Hassell, Phoenix Hassell, and Emma Wierzgac; brother, Leonard E. Whitten, Jr. and his wife, L. Maxine; nieces, Stephanie Cantu and husband, Mark, and Heather Lopez and husband, Orlando; numerous extended family, loved ones, and friends through the years.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, W. Clint Whitten and Jack Whitten; and grandchildren, Mitchell Lee Hassell and Ladonna Hassell.
A gathering of Ms. Merrick’s family and friends will begin 10:00 a.m. with her memorial service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium.
