Mary “Mimi” Prejean

March 8, 1952 - February 15, 2025

Mary “Mimi” Prejean, 72, of China, died Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. She was born on March 8, 1952, in Gueydan, Louisiana. Mimi was a housewife but also the foundation of The Baggett Ranch in China. In her spare time, she loved to paint.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Carl Prejean; daughter, Sara B. Prejean of Beaumont; sister, Frankie Trahan and her husband, Tommy, of Houston; and grandchildren, Kaylee Kinney of Sulphur, Louisiana and Breleigh Porras of Beaumont; 3 nieces, 5 nephews, 5 great-nephews, 4 great-nieces, 9 nine great-great nieces, 10 great-great nephews, 1 great-great-great niece, 1 great-great-great nephew; and 2 brothers-in-law.

Memorial contributions may be made to Girls’ Haven, 3380 Fannin Street, Beaumont, Texas 77701 give online or Nutrition and Services for Seniors (Meals on Wheels), 4590 Concord Road, Beaumont, Texas 77703 give online.

Mrs. Prejean’s cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
