I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Aunt Mary. I remember visiting Aunt Mary’s house with my grandparents Amos and Elvira. They would play cards together and Aunt Mary always had a stash of ding dong cakes for us kids to munch on. She will be missed.

    Colleen Ihrke says:

I knew Mary as Mawmaw. She was not my mawmaw mind you, but that is what we all called her. I was fortunate enough to marry into the Ihrke family, but ever since my hubby and I were just dating, we have been invited to Beth and Cliffs House for thanksgiving (with Leah and Jeff.) Mawmaw was always there until recent years. She was a fierce competitor at cards and always up for a puzzle. My family grew to love her and looked forward to seeing her as if she were our family too. I’m so lucky to have known her over those years and am sorry to hear of her passing. What a comfort to know she is in the arms of her creator, fully healed and sick no longer. ❤️

    Jessett Castro says:

I have been Mary Thibodaux’s hospice CNA for three and a half years. She was an incredible, sassy, grandma. Her strength and endurance amazed me. Her sweet smile will be engraved in my memory, as well as the famous eye rolls of hers. May your sole finally rest in peace, and may the Lord hold you in a warm embrace. You are loved and will forever be remembered. Jazzy and I will always love you.
