Maudie Amanda Pope

Maudie Amanda Pope, 84, of Orange, died Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Christus Southeast Texas-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born on October 1, 1939, to Mazie Hodnott Roberson and James Roberson, in Pineville, Louisiana. Maudie was a lifetime member of the Texas Forestry Association.

Survivors include her son, Ronald J. Pope and his wife, Janet, of Jasper; grandchildren, Christine A. Pope of Big Spring and Greg A. Pope and his wife, Anna, of LaPorte; and great-grandchildren, Mason Pope, Gavin Pope, and Dylan Pope.

A graveside service for Mrs. Pope will be 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Beech Creek Cemetery, 437 County Road 4540, Spurger, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
