Melba Jewell Bennett

Melba Jewell Bennett, 82, of Kountze, died Saturday, October 4, 2025. She was born on March 2, 1943, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to Jewell Rinks Wood and Claude William Wood.

Survivors include daughters, Julie Osborne and her husband, Vince, of Kountze; Lynne Bennett of Denver; Diane Rodgers and her husband, Michael, of Gulf Breeze, Florida; and Tammye Brown and her husband, Patrick, of Illinois; grandchildren, Reese Bennett, Logan Pruitt, and Laynie Rodgers. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clark Bennett; grandsons, Clayton Bennett and Levi Pruitt; and brother, Loyd Wood.

Her graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 18, 2025, at R.S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery, South Third Street, Silsbee, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
