Melinda Ann Eaves
Melinda Ann Eaves, 71, of Silsbee, died Friday, July 4, 2025. She was born on July 25, 1953, in Silsbee to Lemoine Jarrell Hooks and Herman Ramsey Hooks.
Survivors include her children, Amanda Jones, of Silsbee, and Kari Hannon, of Killeen; grandchildren, Timanda Wooten and Telecia Wooten, both of Silsbee; great-grandchildren, Kaliyah Dodis, Khalil Dodis, and Elijah Howard; siblings, Nancy Gardner and her husband, Harold, of Savalla; Johnny Hooks and his wife, Elaine, of Onalaska; and Patricia Knoblock and her husband, Billie, of Silsbee. She is preceded in death her parents; and brother, Herman Ramsey Hooks, Jr.
Her cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Lung Association, Donation Processing Center, PO Box 70360, Philadelphia, PA 19176-0360.

Melinda, it was always a delight to visit and share laughter with you. Your smile and heartfelt personality be missed by all.

Dearest Melinda, I sorely miss your presence. Your absence is deeply felt, my beautiful friend, but I find solace in your peaceful state and the better place you now inhabit. I will always cherish our memories and friendship, which have endured despite the passage of time. We will see each other again someday.

I am so sorry to hear about Melinda passing…we went a long way back..all the way to school..we kept in touch through the years…She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Keeping her family in our prayers…

Oh Melinda. My heart broke when I heard this. We had just talked couple of wks earlier. You loved your grand babies & great gr babies so much. We had visited so much & both of us losing our moms not so far apart gave us a closer friendship. You will b missed but now you are in Heaven with no problem in breathing at all ,,,I’ll see you again some day
