Melinda Kay Martin, 75, of Port Arthur, was received into Heaven Thursday, June 9, 2022. She was born February 20, 1947, to Mary Helen and Paul Willard Davidson.
Melinda often expressed beautiful memories and stories from her life and childhood with vivid detail. She loved her family deeply.
She was a supportive and loving wife for fifty-three years to her sweetheart, Randy. Melinda’s powerful prayers, spiritual wisdom and faith filled guidance will impact generations to come as they glean from her life’s example.
She was a teacher of many subjects but most importantly she was a teacher of the word of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She had a passion for all beautiful things. Melinda was unconventional in her creativity and decorating, creating with spirited and heartfelt confidence in her gifts.
The encouragement she gave to so many was delivered with gentleness, kindness and love. Her expressions and words were unique and sweetly appropriate, touching many lives through the years. Specifically touching the lives of women in teaching about, studying with and pursuing the things of the Lord.
Melinda lived her entire life for this moment!
