Mercedes “Mercy” Trahan

Mercedes “Mercy” Trahan, 64, of China died Friday, April 4, 2025.  She was born on December 11, 1960, in Beaumont, to Betty Jean Deshotel Trahan and John Charles Trahan.

Survivors include her mother, Betty Jean Trahan; children, Donald Trahan, of Tennessee; and Amy Meaux, of The Woodlands; grandchildren, Cody Trahan, Ashley Trahan, Mason Hubbard, Caiden Hubbard, Colt Hubbard, and Luke Hubbard; siblings, Betty Lou Lee, of China; Rodrick Trahan and his wife, Diana, of Oakdale, Louisiana; Brenda Trahan, of Beaumont, Melinda Trahan of Oakdale, Louisiana; and Chris Trahan, of China; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, John Charles Trahan; siblings, Mary Trahan; and Yvonne Wagner; and nephew, Jack Gilley.

A gathering of Mrs. Trahan’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Monday, April 7, 2025, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at China Cemetery, China.
