Michael Ray Harrington, 65, of LaBelle, Texas, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024. Born on June 8, 1959, in Hobbs, New Mexico, to Elizabeth and Billy Harrington, Mike, affectionately known as “Bro” to many, was “Papa Bro” to his grandchildren and was cherished by all who knew him.

Mike’s life was a symphony of kindness, thoughtfulness, and love. His passions for music, fishing, and golf were well known, and his talents as a woodworker and cook were admired by many. He had a unique gift for turning simple materials into beautiful creations and simple ingredients into delightful meals. His workshop and kitchen were places where love and craftsmanship came together, creating lasting memories.

Mike’s love for nature and the outdoors was reflected in his passion for fishing and golf, where he found peace and joy. Memories of riding the golf cart and sitting by campfires under the pine tree will forever be etched in our hearts. His life was a testament to meaningful relationships, as he radiated positivity and joy to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Above all, Mike was a devoted husband to his wife, Thais, for 28 wonderful years. Also, a beloved stepfather to his step-daughters, son, and grandchildren. He loved his immediate and extended family and friends with all his heart, always there with a kind and thoughtful word. His warm smile and gentle spirit made him a friend to all, and his legacy of love will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Thais Harrington; his stepchildren, Stephanie Osborne and her husband, John; Stacie Hickox and her husband, Randy; and Stephen “Dusty” Allen. He was a loving step-grandfather to Taylor, Dylan, Trevor, Danielle, Rayli, and Britaini; and a proud step-great-grandfather to Ace, Dallas, and Aurora. Mike is also survived by his sisters, Beth Ann Willis and her husband, David, and Shari Harrington; along with his nieces and nephews, Derek, Dylan, Paige, and Destini; and great-nieces, Zoey, Riley, Finley, and Dylan Elizabeth. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Harrington’s cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mike was truly loved by all, and his presence will be profoundly missed. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, a testament to the beauty of living a life of Peace and Love.

    He was a good neighbor, friend, camping buddy to my brother and his wife. He and Thais were with them on many camping adventures. I only knew him through them, but he was a wonderful person to be around. I’m very sorry for your loss. Many prayers of comfort for you and your family Beth Ann.
