Michael Wayne Chester
Michael Wayne Chester, 72, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Christus Southeast Texas-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born on June 29, 1949, to Nola Silcox Chester and Eldred Chester, in Beaumont. Michael was a hardworking man and loved planes and trains, but he also enjoyed the fun life and being silly in his retirement. Michael’s family was a big part of his life and very important to him.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Chester; children, Brian Chester of Beaumont; Christina Brown and her husband, Donnie, of Lumberton; and Tina Richey and her husband, Chris, of Cheek; grandchildren, Karysa Rainwater and her husband, Taylor, Briana White and her husband, Brandon, Brandon Chester, Shelby Chester, Mary Brown, Michael Brown, Kimberleigh Chester, and Sean Chester; great-grandchildren, CarLee White, Emaleigh Rainwater, Easton White, Madilyn Rainwater, Kennedy Rainwater, and Audrey Rainwater; and sister, Nancy Johnston and her husband, John, of San Antonio.
He is preceded in death by his parents and son, David Chester.
His cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.

To Linda and the Chester family. I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of Mike. I remember Mike very well. Mike and my father Lester Crow worked together for many years for Welex and were good friends until my father passing in 1992. I remember as a kid going to the shop on weekends with my dad that was off collage street and him and Mike would work together to get everything ready for the next job coming up. He was always so nice and I know my mom and dad were very fond him.

Mike, you will be missed by all who knew you. You had a way about you that we all will remember. You’re the only brother I had, I’m proud to say. We have many happy memories with you and we will cherish those. I see you in Heaven in no pain to hold you back. We’ll see you there one day. Still, we’re sad that you’re gone. I went to Forest Park with Mike and worked our first job together at Welex. I had not seen him in years. He use to ride his bicycle over to my house on Amelia St. in Jr. High. We both loved trains. I still have a red caboose that we traded. I remember his first car was a Corvair Spider. Sending thoughts and prayers to his family. James
James! Thank you for those memories. I remember going over to y’all’s house too. Box purses, and your dad nicknamed me Windy because I talked so much. Good times in the old neighborhood.
