Michael Wenzel
Michael Alan Wenzel, 64, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. He was born on July 29, 1957, to Marilyn Petroff Wenzel and Kenny Alan Wenzel, in Terra Haute, Indiana, and was a veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife, Therese Wenzel; daughters, Monica Roberson and her husband, Brett and their children, Chloe and Maisie, of Lumberton; Amanda Carter and her husband, Ryan, and their children, Ashlyn, Blake, and Landen, of Vidor; and Desiré Wenzel of Houston; mother, Marilyn Petroff of Wichita, Kansas; sisters, Debi Pugh of Wichita, Kansas; Susan Wenzel of Stoneham, Massachusetts; Becky Watson of Wichita, Kansas; and Lori Whitley of Panama City, Florida; and a whole lot of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Kenny Wenzel; brother, Chris Wenzel; godmother, Kathy Hinojosa; and grandmother, Julia Rose Petroff.
A gathering of Mr. Wenzel’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Friday, February 18, 2022, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 19, 2022, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2715 Calder Avenue, Beaumont. His entombment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.

Mike was a great person. He did the right thing, when no one was looking. His family should be proud. He will be missed.
Mike has been my repairman for over 20 years. He always got the job done. He was very trustworthy. Always had a smile on his face. I will miss his helpfulness. Not many people like him in this world. My sympathy to his family. He loved you very much.
When I think of Mike I consider him one my favorite people. I knew him as a friend, husband, father, GO TO repair guy, and overall good person. He was fair, honest and loved BIG. The world was a better place with you in it Mike Wenzel. And you will be honored and missed! Love you and your family my dear friend!
