Michael Alan Wenzel, 64, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. He was born on July 29, 1957, to Marilyn Petroff Wenzel and Kenny Alan Wenzel, in Terra Haute, Indiana, and was a veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife, Therese Wenzel; daughters, Monica Roberson and her husband, Brett and their children, Chloe and Maisie, of Lumberton; Amanda Carter and her husband, Ryan, and their children, Ashlyn, Blake, and Landen, of Vidor; and Desiré Wenzel of Houston; mother, Marilyn Petroff of Wichita, Kansas; sisters, Debi Pugh of Wichita, Kansas; Susan Wenzel of Stoneham, Massachusetts; Becky Watson of Wichita, Kansas; and Lori Whitley of Panama City, Florida; and a whole lot of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Kenny Wenzel; brother, Chris Wenzel; godmother, Kathy Hinojosa; and grandmother, Julia Rose Petroff.

A gathering of Mr. Wenzel’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Friday, February 18, 2022, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 19, 2022, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2715 Calder Avenue, Beaumont. His entombment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
