Michele Sorrels

Michele Sorrels, 52, of Port Neches, died Friday, January 7, 2022. She was born June 27, 1969, in Bakersfield, California, to Marie Angelique Moreau Abbott and Mark Oliver Abbott.

Michele had many interests especially crafting such as cross-stitching, needlepoint, and scrapbooking. She was also interested in history and genealogy as well as had her own stamp and coin collection. Michele also loved to read, bake, and cook.

She is survived by her husband, David Sorrels, of Port Neches; children, Jacqueline Marie Sorrels and husband, Alex Ritter, of Omaha, Nebraska; David Christopher Sorrels, of Norfolk, Virginia; Matthew Oliver Sorrels; Kaitlyn Virginia Sorrels, both of Port Neches; brother, Chris Abbott and wife, Jackie, of Wagner, Oklahoma; sister, Nancy Joan Moran, of Prosper; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Angelique and Mark Abbott.

Cremation arrangements for Mrs. Sorrels will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12^th Street, Nederland.
