Michelle Hanks Orchid

Michelle Hanks Orchid, 50, of Beaumont, died Friday, January 2, 2026. She was born on June 3, 1975, in Galveston, to Donna Gibson and Herbert Wayne Hanks.

Survivors include her husband, Chris Orchid; children, Zachary Hanks; Sarah Pack; Lauren Gruesen and her husband, Nick; Samantha Hanks; Amanda Hanks; Krysta Hanks, and Kathryn Ready; twelve grandchildren; father, Wayne Hanks and his wife, Debbie; siblings, Kimberly Hanks, Krystle Malinchalk, John Malinchalk, Charlene Kilbourn, Fatima Thomas, and Herbert Wayne Hanks, Jr.; twenty-two nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Gibson, and nephew, Cody Wayne Presswood.

A gathering of Mrs. Orchid’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. Cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
