Mike Coots

Mike Coots, 61, of Fannett, died Tuesday, December 20, 2022. He was born December 29, 1960, in Glendale, California, to Adella Mae Peirce and Alfred Lewis Coots.

Mike devoted years of his life to driving trucks for various companies within Beaumont and the surrounding areas.  He usually could be found hunting or fishing.  He loved his sweet tea and Diet Dr. Pepper.  Mike loved spending time with his family and scratching lottery tickets.  Mike will forever be remembered as a loving brother, uncle, and friend.

Survivors include his brothers, Thomas G. Coots and wife, Tammy Coots of Winnie, and Daniel Coots; nephew, Thomas J. Coots and wife, Megan Coots; niece, Ashley Coots and Ty Mullins; great-nephews, Troy Coots, Logan Coots, and Logan Mullins; and great nieces, Makayla Cravy and Kennedi Mullins.

He is preceded in death by his father, Alfred Coots; mother, Adella Coots; brothers, Alfred Coots II and David Coots; and sister, Tina Coots.

A gathering of Mr. Coots’ family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 26, 2022, with his funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. His interment will follow at China Cemetery.
