MSG George T. Sanner
MSG George T. Sanner, 93, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. He was born December 5, 1928, in Houston, Texas to Frances Ellen and Edwin Wilcox Sanner.
George was a decorated United States Army veteran who served twenty-eight years; one tour in New Foundland, four tours in Germany, and two tours in Vietnam.
After his retirement, George and his family moved to Wildwood, Texas in 1978. There he worked as a security guard, a maintenance supervisor, the local property surveyor, and as director of the Village Mills Cemetery for many years. He was even honored with the cemetery road being named “George Sanner Road”.
George loved serving his God, family, community, and The Wildwood Baptist Church. He worked on many missionary trips, VBS, and helping to start the Hispanic Mission Church in Silsbee, Texas, Fuenta de Vida.
MSG Sanner was a loving husband and father, as well as a brave and honorable soldier.
He is survived by his wife, Eugenia “Kandy” Sanner; daughters, JoAnn, Lori, and Teresa; sons, David and Terry; and nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Alice Christman; brothers, William and Howard Sanner; sister, Lougena Bowman; granddaughter, Melissa Burnham; and grandson, Benjamin Sanner.
A gathering of Mr. Sanner’s family and friends will begin 10:00 a.m., with his funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 30, 2022, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee, with military honors. His committal will follow at Village Mills Cemetery, Village Mills.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.

George would call me at least once a month so I could talk and visit with my sister. I will always love him for doing that and taking such good care of Kandy. RIP, George. We love you
George was a really fine man. Everyone loved him.
He was kind to everyone. I will miss him.
