Nancy C. Meek
Nancy C. Meek, 83, of Beaumont, died Sunday, September 19, 2021. She was born on May 16, 1938, in Kerrville, to Helene Neihaus Heimann and Clarence Heimann.
Nancy was born in Kerrville and graduated from Tivy High School. After graduation, her family moved to California, where she met her husband of 54 years and had four daughters. She enjoyed her Navy life moving where Roger was stationed until 1975 when they moved to Beaumont. Nancy was active in her church, Bethlehem Lutheran, and singing in the Interfaith Choral Society for years. She was a supporter of many charities including Some Other Place and after surviving breast cancer, the Julie Rogers Gift of Life. Nancy loved her family and all the friends she considered family. She was very proud of and loved her grandchildren. She was loved by all and will be sorely missed.
Survivors include her daughters, Lesley A. Biscamp, of Beaumont; Robin E. Meek, of Beaumont; and Lauren S. Burton and her husband, Derrick, of Panorama Village; grandchildren, Lindsey Yeates and her husband, Jordan, of Port Neches; Elizabeth Clark, of Seguin; Nicholas Hancock, of Austin; and Jeremy Hancock, of Panorama Village; sister, Judith Gregorie and her husband, Victor, of Vista, California; and great-grandson, Travis Jordan Yeates.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger S. Meek; and daughter, Joni Clark.
A gathering of Mrs. Meek’s family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 680 Calder Avenue, Beaumont. Her interment will be at Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
It is requested that you please wear a proper face covering when attending her service.

Our friend Nancy was a strong, amazing, beautiful person. Both Nancy and Roger were extraordinary role models of how to live and love well. She was excellent at all she did for family, friends, and church, and will be lovingly remembered. May this wonderful family be comforted by good memories, and continue on in love and peace.

We were saddened to learn that your dear Mother passed away. She was a wonderful friend who contributed so much to her church, the community and her family. We have many fond memories of our times together through the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and choir, Beaumont Interfaith Choral Society and other shared community and cultural interests.
While we are not currently attending any in-person events due to COVID, our family is keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers.

Nancy and I taught together at Sallie Curtis years ago. She was a real love! Our daughter, Kelly and Joni were friends. She was always loving to all she met and will be sorely missed. My prayers for peace are with all of you.
I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. Your mom and dad were dear friends of my parents and I will always be grateful for the many ways they blessed each other. I wish there were a way to ease the heartache of missing someone you love, but I have found that it is in walking through it that the pain is eased and the memories become sweet rather than heartbreaking. My prayers are with you. Know that your mom was a treasure – as was your dad!

Nancy sat to my left in the Beaumont Interfaith Choir. I loved visiting with her and enjoyed knowing her. My condolences to the family.
I am so sorry for your loss. Nancy was such an awesome woman…I loved visiting with her. I can just imagine the celebration of her and Roger & Joni reuniting. I will be praying for the family left here to mourn her. Praying our lord comforts you all.
