Natalia Correa Mata, 88, of Beaumont, died October 10, 2022, at Focused Care at Summer Place Nursing and Rehabilitation, Beaumont. She was born on December 1, 1933, to Jovita and Pedro Correa, in Big Spring.

She loved her grandkids and great-grandkids more than anything. Natalia was always asking about them and loved to spend time with them. She absolutely loved to cook for friends and her family. No matter where you were going or what friends you were leaving with, she always made sure to bless you all before leaving. That was her thing. Always got your blessing before leaving.

Survivors include her children, Anna Marie Brown of Colorado; Albert Jara and his wife, Dana, of Beaumont; Jan Layer and her husband, John, of Michigan; and Ray Mata and his wife, Maria, of Dallas; and grandchildren, Albert Mata and his wife, Jennifer; Rhonda Hatcher; Jennie Reid; Stephanie Travis and her husband, Matt; Amanda Enderle and her husband, Cory; Liza Hernandez and her husband, Adam; Lydia Flores; and Vivian Mata. She had and loved 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son, Apolinar Mata, Jr.
