Nathan Andrew Atkinson
Nathan Andrew Atkinson, 34, of Silsbee, died Thursday, August 19, 2021. He was born March 13, 1987, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Mary Keith and Jerry Wayne Atkinson.
Nathan loved hunting, fishing, dancing, and hanging out with family most of all. Within the last few months of his life, he gave his life to God and attended Faith Tabernacle in Kountze, Texas. He worked at Southwest Stainless Steel and Alloy for the last seven years. Nathan was a loving, kind, and giving man. He will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.
He is survived by his wife, Whitney Atkinson; mother, Mary Keith of Kountze; sisters, Brittany Freeman and Kayla Hutto and her husband, Jonathan, all of Kountze; stepmother, Shelly Wright of Silsbee; brother, Robert Hendrix and his wife, Sherry, of Silsbee; and nieces and nephews, Breanna, Bradley, Alyssa, Peyton, Greyson, and Derek. He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Wayne Atkinson; grandparents, Margaret and Ace Jones, Mary Nell Brown, and Charley Atkinson; stepfather, Chris Keith; and uncle, Glen Jones.
A gathering of Nathan’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 27, 2021, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Hardin Memorial Park, Silsbee.

We were just so very, very sorry to get this news. We loved Nathan and he will be missed every day. I will always miss having him giving me a hard time whenever he could! Such a sweet soul. Rest easy.
