Neva Brinson

Neva Rose Brinson, 82, of Winnie, died Friday, February 4, 2022, at Riceland Medical Center, Winnie. She was born May 1, 1939, in Kaplan, Louisiana, to Ina Trahan Galley and August Galley.

Survivors include her children, Alan Simon and wife, Cathy; Michael Simon and wife, Peggy; and Carri Wilson, all of Winnie; grandchildren, Joseph Gregory Simon and wife, Monica; Cassandra Lee Simon and husband, Josh Bland; and Nataleigh Rose Wilson; six great-grandchildren; and siblings, Alcide Galley; Clifton Galley and wife, Sandie; Jean Prickett; and Frances Bishop.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two children; and three siblings.

A gathering of Ms. Brinson’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 3:00 p.m., Friday, February 11, 2022, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
