Norma Kay Owens

September 18, 1949 - August 19, 2024

Norma Kay Owens, 74, of Nederland, died Monday, August 19, 2024. She was born September 18, 1949, in Texarkana, to Florence Elizabeth Childers Campbell and George Clinton King.

Survivors include her husband, James Owens; children, Brett Owens and wife, Elaine; Marsha Clark and husband, Frank; Jennifer Reed and husband, Lance; and Jason Owens; bonus children, Roselyn Adams and husband, Rudy; Stephanie Bonin and husband, Kevin; Sarah Potter and husband, Brandon; grandchildren, Ashley and husband, Justin; Erica and husband, Miguel; Devin; Morgan and husband, Jody; Chance; Hope; Breanna and husband, Devon; Halley; Cameron and husband, Gary; Nicolle and husband, Matt; Brittany and husband, Brian; Alyssa; and Frank; sixteen great-grandchildren; and sisters, Tera Adler and Shirley Wilkinson and husband, Bill.

She is preceded in death by her parents and grandsons, Austin Reed and Joseph West.

Mrs. Owens’ Celebration of Life Gathering will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, August 30, 2024, at Jennifer Reed’s home. Her cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.

Memorial contributions in Mrs. Owens’ honor may be made to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas, 2050 Spindletop Avenue, Beaumont, Texas 77705.

    Uncle James , Jenn, Marsha, Jason …. Aunt Norma never made me feel like a step anything …. She treated me like one of her kids growing up. I got in the same trouble and got the same love. She gave the kind of hugs that put your heart back together ….. she always made me feel loved . I am sending you all hugs and love .
