    Janet Devillier says:

Bubba was a true cowboy and lived the cowboy lifestyle his entire life. Along with his dad, O.C. Devillier, Jr., he spent the first 51 years of his life developing a 3,500-acre farm and cattle operation in Winnie, TX. And he helped buy a 7,500-acre ranch in Freer, TX. For several years, he continuously cleared brush and developed a cattle ranch where they ran around 700 head of cattle. They also maintained and operated a ranch in Bandera, TX.

In later years he was a landman and an operations manager for Paloma Resources in Cleburne, TX. He and his 3 sons also worked together as landmen in support of the drilling, completion, and production of oil and gas wells until his retirement several years back.

Bubba was a very well-known and respected fellow. I traveled with my dad my whole life and I can tell you there was no place in Texas or Louisiana and parts of Arizona where people did not know him. He knew people everywhere we went. He would always run across someone who knew him! To this day I shake my head to figure out how he did it!!

Bubba was such a wonderful person and “ cousin”. I was a few years behind him but I remember growing up in the country with a lot of time spent around Bubba and my cousin Sammy!! Life was great back then. I know God gained a great person in May 4. Hope to see him again one day. My love and prayers to all his family.

He was one of Dads favorite cousins and vice versa.
Bubba said he and Dad had some good times horseback, hopefully they’re horseback together again.
    Rest easy cowboy.
