Ovelia “Vee” Battaglio
Ovelia “Vee” Battaglio, 74, of Fannett, died Saturday, April 30, 2022. She was born November 17, 1947, in Port Arthur, to Verna Henrietta Vanbrocklin Arceneaux and Paul Arceneaux.
Vee enjoyed playing bingo, slot machines, and reading. She loved watching old Westerns, game shows, and Judge Judy. Most of all, Vee loved to spend time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Rinehart; grandchildren, Makayla McDonald; Jordan Tubbs; and Mason Tubbs; great-grandchildren, Michael Tubbs III; Keegen Tubbs; Johnnie Tubbs; Shaylin Frederick; Baker Frederick; Mason Tubbs II; Briggs McDonald; and Chevi Tubbs.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnnie Battaglio; grandson, Michael Tubbs; and great-grandson, Ryder Tubbs.
A gathering of Mrs. Battaglio’s family and friends will begin at 2:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Faith United Methodist Church, 18895 FM 365, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
Memorial contributions in honor of Mrs. Battaglio may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
