Patricia Ann Moore

December 19, 1939 - May 24, 2025

Patricia Ann “Nanny” Moore, 85, of Nederland, died Saturday, May 24, 2025. She was born on December 19, 1939, in Port Arthur, to Ola Mae McBryde and John Henry Hutson.

Patricia always had a smile on her face and a positive attitude. She was very close to her church family. Patricia and her husband traveled for 10 years, making friends wherever they went. She never said a bad word about anyone. One of her favorite hobbies was talking to her childhood best friend, Sandy Wilson numerous times a day, and eating out with family and friends. Nanny was cherished greatly by all of her family and all say she was “The life of the party.”.

Survivors include her sons, Gary Moore, of Beauxart Garden; daughter, Sherri Moore and Sheena Moore, both of Nederland; grandchildren, Lanie, Maci, Brian, Tyler, Kyle, and Ryan; fourteen great-grandchildren; sister, Juanita Slaughter of Mauriceville; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mack Moore, Jr; sister, Billie Tallarita; grandsons, Shane Hall and Chad Moore; son-in-law, Gerald Causey; great-grandson, Karver Schroeder.

Memorial contributions for Mrs. Moore may be made to Central Baptist Church, 903 Avenue B, Port Neches, Texas 77651.

A gathering of Mrs. Moore’s family and friends will begin at 1:30 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Central Baptist Church, 903 Avenue B, Port Neches, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
