Patricia Ann Rizzato

Patricia Ann Rizzato, 82, was called peacefully home to our lord on September 26, 2022, at her residence in China, Texas. Patricia was born September 26, 1940, in Beaumont, Texas.

She was a graduate of China High School, class of 1958.  Patricia went on to enroll at Lamar University, where she studied Business.

Patricia worked for Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas, after attending Lamar University.  She started in 1960 and retired from Baptist Hospital in 2000.

Her hobbies and interests included everything from reading to enjoying good company.  Patricia was an avid reader, and in her earlier years was a District Spelling B Winner – She was an excellent speller.  She looked forward to the journeys where books could take her and loved reading her bible nightly.  Patricia loved to laugh with those close to her and listening to Elvis too.  She could talk football and other sports, politics and more.  Patricia also liked nature watching when all the animals would roam on her land and enjoyed working in the yard with her flowers.

She was a loving sister, a wonderful Aunt, and a kind human being.

Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Peter Rizzato and Anna Margaret (Milazzo) Rizzato, and her beloved brothers Pete, Jr. “Bubba” Rizzato, John Raymond Rizzato and Charlie Wayne Rizzato.

She is survived by her siblings Stella (Tim) Stephens of Beaumont, Texas, Sandra Rizzato of Beaumont, Texas, and Diane (Roger) Miller of Lumberton, Texas; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A gathering of Ms. Rizzato’s family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Friday, October 7, 2022, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of her family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Broussard’s.  A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m., at China Cemetery, 461 Benoit Road, China.
