Patricia “Pat” Feldschau

May 30, 1956 - January 29, 2026

Patricia Ann Feldschau, known by everyone as “Happy Pat”, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on January 29, 2026, at the age of 69.  She was born to Elizabeth Terracina Collins and James Benton Collins on May 30, 1956, in Port Arthur, TX. Pat devoted much of her life to her family and her work for the Nederland school district.

A person of great faith, Pat was raised attending St. Charles Catholic Church and later attended One City Church in Beaumont with her husband. Her warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on those who had the pleasure of knowing her.  Pat’s personality shone brightly, reflecting her love for life and those around her.

Pat’s family was the pride and joy of her life.  She is survived by her husband, Harry “Mike” Feldschau, Sr.; children, Michael Feldschau, Jr. and his wife Julie, and Amanda Mosley and her husband, Josh, all of Nederland; grandchildren, Tatum Proenza and her husband, Peyton, of League City; Isla Mosley, Ellis Mosley, and Avery Ramirez; great-grandchild, Jevonni Fuentes, all of Nederland; mother, Elizabeth Collins, of Nederland; sisters, Kathy Hazlett and her husband, Vaughn, of Montgomery; Brenda Sullivan and her husband, Lawrence, of Nederland; and brothers, Jimmy Collins and his wife, Pam, of Nederland; and David Collins and his wife, Laura, of Garrison.  She is preceded in death by her father.

Pat’s heart swelled with joy when spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She never missed a game, birthday, school event, or recital, and loved taking them to the parades, pumpkin patches, or taking them for fast food.  She held her annual pumpkin carving at her house and regularly played Wahoo with them and finally won for the first time recently.  She always showed up for everyone, even her nieces, nephews and their kids.  Daily she would watch “Wheel of Fortune”, reality TV, and soap operas. She loved going to Chick-fil-A or getting an unsweetened tea at Sonic as she was running the roads around town.  She had season tickets for Friday night lights at Bulldog stadium and was supportive of all the happenings in the community.  Her friends were very important to her, and she enjoyed “eat-outs” as she called them, and quick road trips especially to Bucee’s.  She was the family event planner and family photographer, as all family members agreed that they would not have any photos without her.

She showed her love by giving, whether it was monetary donations, a phone call to check in, rapid fire texting, commenting sweet messages on Facebook, or helping to host an event. Unbeknownst to her, her kids nominated her for Mother of the Year in 2025. Even when people did not reciprocate her kindness or generosity, she only saw the positive in every person and never held their flaws against them. The love she shared with her family and the legacy she leaves behind will endure, reminding all who knew her of the profound impact she had on their lives.  She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will remain forever in the hearts of her family and the many lives she touched throughout her journey.

In lieu of flowers or meals the family requests that any donations for Mrs. Feldschau be made to the Venmo account of Michael Feldschau.

A gathering of Mrs. Feldschau’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.

So sad to hear of Pat’s passing to her rest in Jesus. She was a sweet co-worker at Southwestern Bell. I lost contact with her when she resigned; but, our paths crossed again for a brief time while working out at Curves in Nederland. It was so good to reconnect. My heart goes out to her family and friends. I feel blessed to have known her.

    Susan Stein says:

Oh my dear Pat! We met over 30 years ago at Southwestern Bell and became good friends. We did a few things together but mostly talked on the phone or at work. She was so much fun! Never heard her talking about anyone. After she went to work somewhere else we lost touch then a few years ago I saw her at church with her mother and we got together and picked up where we left off! She was such a dear sweet beautiful human being! We talked or texted everyday. She loved eating Mexican food at Ranchos and always wanted to take a picture of us with our sunglasses on when we left. She loved her grands ‘as she called them’ and had them sleep over all the time and she’d tell me she wouldn’t be able to talk or text when they were there because she would be playing games or doing arts and crafts with them. We laughed and cried together! When we texted or talked on the phone at night we would tell each other “Love you,Night, talk tmo” She was very special and it will never be the same without her in my life!
