Patricia Lynn Wells

May 22, 1973 - February 22, 2021

Patricia Lynn (Anderson) Wells ended her fight with cancer, peacefully with her husband lying beside her holding her hand, on February 22, 2021, at the age of 47.  The eldest of five children, Patricia lived life to the fullest. She danced, loved to play sports, especially basketball, and made so many friends growing up. A true beauty, she was Homecoming Queen and Miss Pine Prairie before graduating from Pine Prairie High School in 1991.  Patricia worked as an LVN for many years and cherished the time she spent as a Home Health Nurse. Yet, the most important role to Patricia was being a “Mother”.  As a Mom to five children, she always talked about her kids, traveled to see them play in their own events and looked forward to any additional time they could just simply spend together. As her children grew older and were married, Patricia would say she wasn’t gaining a son-in-law or daughter-in-law, she was gaining a son or a daughter. She was thrilled to add the name “Mamaw” when she became Grandmother to her two precious grandchildren.  Mamaw didn’t need a “brag book” to refer to, the pride and love in her heart was all that was needed to tell you all about those babies and their latest triumphs. Patricia found her best friend, fishing guide and dance partner when she married her husband, Greg Wells. When they weren’t spending time at the lake, they lived happily in Lumberton, Texas surrounded by friends, family, their dogs and of course, Patricia’s chickens. She departed to heaven just months after her beloved grandmother, Mamaan’, Edna Odom.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Greg Wells and her father-in-law, J.P. Wells, both of Lumberton, Texas; her mother, Diana McRight of Pitkin, Louisiana; her father, Michael Anderson and his wife, Connie of Lumberton, Texas.

Her children that she loved so much: daughter, Shelby (Paul) Cook and her husband, Seth, of Lumberton, Texas; son, Tommy Paul and his wife, Chelsea, of Oakdale, Louisiana; daughter, Shailynn Paul, son, Triston Paul, son, Tyler Paul, all of Pine Prairie, Louisiana; step-son,Jacob Wells and step-daughter, Jessica Wells, both of Lumberton, Texas.

Her four siblings, Michael Anderson and his wife, Kimberly, of Prosper, Texas; Joey Anderson and his wife, Jodie, of Bellbrook, Ohio; Karrie (Anderson) Brooks and her husband, Terry, of Pine Prairie, Louisiana; and Ian Wilson of Pitkin, Louisiana.

And, her treasured grandchildren: Jackson and June Cook of Lumberton, Texas, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and loving friends.

A gathering of Mrs. Wells’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 26, 2021, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Hey, guys. I am so very so to hear of your mom's passing. I liked her, she was always so nice and beautiful. She had natural beauty that comes from within. It will be difficult without at first, but try to focus on the good times that you all shared, and how much she loved you all, and how proud she was of you. You may not be able to see her, but she'll never leave you, cause she'll always be in your hearts. God bless you all. Aunt Brenda
