She is survived by her loving daughters: Julee LaMure and her husband, Jeff; Meigan Walker-Hall and her husband, Matthew; Paige Nash and her husband, Jay; Allison Stewart and her husband, Kade; and her goddaughter, Shann Baggett and her husband, Chris.

Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: Kelly Phillips, Max LaMure, Zoie LaMure, Oliver LaMure, Sydney Haselden, Mark “Trey” Haselden, Phoebe Hall, Drake Merrell, Kaylee Hall, Taylor Duncan and her husband, Bobby; AC Pippenger and his wife, Shelbie; Madeline Stewart, and Amelia Stewart. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years, Joseph Donald Walker, the love of her life. She was also reunited in Heaven with her brothers, James and Pete Bellue; and her sisters, Laverne Allen, Mavourlean Shoefstall, Billie Wilson, and LaNell Brast.

Peggy had a deep love for the beach, where she and Joe retired to their cherished beach cabin. Some of her happiest moments were spent there, surrounded by her family. She had a heart for serving others—no visitor ever left her home without a meal or a cold Coke in hand. Her greatest joy was her family, and her love for them was boundless.

Joe was her soulmate, and now they are together again.

Her life was one of love, generosity, and devotion, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Peggy’s honor to Alzheimer’s Association, 6055 South Loop, Houston, Texas 77087.

Cremation arrangements for Mrs. Walker were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

I was a senior at Nederland High School when I danced with Peggy at a after football game dance.
I really cared for her and we dated for several months. We became close friends after she married a friend of mine. I was a lineman working for Gulf States Utilities, when she spoke to me about going to work for Mobil Chemical Company. I went to work, thanks to Peggy and was able to attend night school at Lamar University, where I got a BBA accounting major. It changed my life. I cannot say just how much I owed her, she was my first love. I am saddened to learn of her passing. I know, without a doubt, that she is in Heaven at this moment. God bless Peggy Bellue!!

I had the honor of introducing Peggy and Joe. He and I worked in radio andwere close. We met Peggy at a little club. The moment I saw her I thought of Joe. When they met I knew it was a done deal instantly. They loved each other from that moment. Peggy was Shanns godmother and showered her with love and little dolls
But Peggy was the real doll and endeared her to us forever.
