Peggy Lee Fosha
Peggy Lee Fosha passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, at the age of 89. She was born on February 29, 1936, in Collin County, Texas to Lee and Audra Carroll and grew up in Farmersville, Texas. She was a resident of Buna for more than 50 years before moving to Nederland.
Peggy lived a life of simple joys and deep morals and values. Along with B.J., her husband of 52 years, they created a home for their daughter, Michelle, filled with love, stability, and joy. Everyone else was welcome, too, as Peggy never met a stranger. She loved to cook and bake, and their door was always open to family and friends. A lifetime of memories were made around their kitchen table and in the back yard.
Peggy was a faithful Jehovah’s Witness her entire life.
She loved to have fun and go on adventures, whether it was shopping for a new purse visiting Colorado or the beach. Whether in the mountains or on the sand, she never went anywhere without making up her face beautifully. She was an avid reader, a lover of plants and flowers, animals (especially cats), and sewing. She loved classic cars and anything with speed. Peggy also loved all genres of music and danced until she was unable.
Classy and sassy, always a lady, but with a wild sense of humor. Everyone who knew her will never forget her infectious laugh that filled the room.
Peggy has been described and will be remembered as a funny, strong, loving, friendly, faithful, kind, generous, humble, and warm lady. She will be remembered most for the fine example she set as a wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend.
She leaves behind her dedicated daughter, Michelle Armstrong, and Michelle’s husband Joey, along with a family that reflects the deep love she had for them: sister Sherrie O’Bier and husband Jimmy, nephews Eric O’Bier and Eric’s wife Elonda, Jeff Carroll and Corey Carroll, niece Jonie Pickard, great niece Layla Pickard, great nephew Aidan Pickard, sister-in-law Colleen Carroll, grandsons Tommy Armstrong, Bradley Armstrong and Cory Armstrong, brother-in-law, Johnny Fosha, and cousins David Carroll and Dixie Shinn.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, B.J. Fosha, brother Jerry Carroll, and nephew Cody Pickard.
Peggy’s memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 8, 2025, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.

“My Ms.Peggy” (that’s what I called her) I miss you so much. From the first day I walked into your room I was attached to you! I loved spending the day with you watching our T.V shows and sitting and listening to your childhood stories and doing your hair, nails and makeup then sitting outside listening to music and watching the birds. Everyone at Bon Vie knows My Ms.Peggy. You are one of a kind. My children, grandchildren and Julio love you so much and Thank You for coming into our life! I am sad because I miss you , I am lost not seeing your beautiful face everyday but I am at peace because I know you are healthy and happy, you have done your job here.
Peggy was one of the most genuine and sweet ladies I’ve ever known.
One of my fondest memories of her was when Michelle and Joey brought Peggy and B.J. to Larry’s French Market. She absolutely lit up listening to the Cajun music—smiling the entire time while her feet tapped along to the rhythm. It was such a joy to see her so happy in that moment.
Sending love and hugs to you Michelle . Love you
