Pete Cruz DeLuna, 79, of Beaumont died Saturday, October 7, 2023. He was born on October 23, 1943, in Beaumont to Marcella Ramirez and John DeLuna, Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa DeLuna of Beaumont; children, Mike DeLuna, Sr. and Jennifer Kaufman and her husband, Steven, Sr., all of Beaumont; grandchildren, Steven Kaufman, Jr. and Mike DeLuna, Jr.; sister, Guadalupe DeLuna; nieces and nephews, Teresa DeLuna Cardinas, Elizabeth DeLuna Belk, Paula DeLuna Vasquez, and Paul Anthoney DeLuna.
Pete is preceded in death by his parents; son, Phillip DeLuna; grandson, Xavier DeLuna; brothers, Mike DeLuna, Tony DeLuna, Richard DeLuna, and John DeLuna, Jr.; and nephew, Jimmy DeLuna.
A gathering of Mr. DeLuna’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 11:00 a.m., with his funeral service to follow at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont, with his interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.

I knew Cruz for only 8 years while we were students at St. Anthony Grammar School but the few times I ran into him, it was like we were still back at St. Anthony. Everybody liked Cruz and he was a special friend to me. Sammy Chirafis, I saw your comment above. Do you remember meeting at Cruz’s house before school? His mother and all the family were so welcoming to us. To Cruz’s family may I say, I am very sorry for your loss. Please accept my condolences. I pray for the peace and comfort of you and your family and I humbly pray that God in His wisdom and all-knowing mercy through the grace of His Son will grant Cruz the greatest kindnesses and mercies He wills to give.
Very sorry to hear of Cruz passing. We were classmates for 12 years at St. Anthony’s Grammar School and Central Catholic High School. He was a great friend to everyone and always the ultimate gentleman. May he rest in peace in heaven. He was truly one of the really good guys.
Great man !!! Went to high school with Cruze and never heard him say a cross word. He and his wife were at our 50th reunion and they were totally lovely. I know he is receiving the awards he has earned. God Bless you all. 🙏🏻

I worked with Mr. Pete De Luna at Entex gas company for many years until he retired. He was always a nice person! May God continue to bless & keep you all is my pray!🙏
