Phyllis Maclin

September 8, 1944 - May 3, 2023

Phyllis Maclin, 78, passed away on May 3, 2023 in Alamogordo, New Mexico after a lengthy illness.

Phyllis had a wild untamed spirit that followed its own course, not the course of convention.  She looked at life with a unique perspective that was truly her own.  She had a will of steel; a force to be reckoned with.  She lived her life on her own terms, no exceptions or regrets. She never took no for an answer or said no to the people she loved.

She is survived by her husband, Tommy; daughters, Pam Gallien and husband, Ronald, of Alamogordo, New Mexico and Tammy Mondry and husband, Joe, of Encinitas, California; grandson, Matthew Gallien of Las Cruces, New Mexico; brother, Pat Lorusso of Lumberton Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Maclin, parents, Michael and Virgie Lorusso, sister, Merline Walhood; brothers, Michael and Joseph Lorusso.

Phyllis was a precious friend from David Crockett Jr. High. I have wondered throughout the years where she was until I see this, this morning. One of my sweetest friends has passed. Prayers for her family and loved ones during this difficult time. God bless each of you until you meet again.
