Phyllis Sue Braley

October 19, 1946 - January 10, 2025

Phyllis Sue Braley, 78, of Lumberton, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 10, 2025, at her residence surrounded by family. She was born on October 19, 1946, in Texarkana, Texas, to Faye Nell Jolly Radcliff and John Wesley Radcliff.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-eight years, Gary Lynn Braley; son, John Braley and his wife, Beth; daughter, Portia Braley Saunier and her fiancé, Mark Gaudet; three grandchildren, Cody Braley, Lezlie Braley, and Kindall Saunier; great-granddaughter, Raelynn Glenny; siblings, Debbie Schlonga, and her husband Jeff, and Gary Radcliff and his wife, Barbara; brother-in-law, Gordon Braley and his wife, Janet; sisters-in-law, Rita Braley and Donna Braley; and numerous other relatives.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents; beloved granddaughter, Madison Hope Thibodeau; and brothers-in-law, Bobby Braley, Billy Braley, and Travis Braley, Jr.

The family would like to thank her caregivers, Vital Steps Home Care and Gentiva Hospice for all the love and care given to Phyllis.

A gathering of Mrs. Braley’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  Her interment will follow at Hardin Memorial Park, Silsbee.

In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Braley would love for you to make memorial contributions to a charity of your choice.
