Preston Arthur Neichoy
Preston Arthur Neichoy, 91, died Monday, March 23, 2026. He was born on September 19, 1934, in Beaumont to Arthur and Loree Neichoy.
Preston held tightly to the things that mattered, especially the small, worn treasures others might overlook old fishing gear, weathered tools, each one carrying a memory. Among his favorites was a stainless-steel malt cup from his mom’s diner, a simple piece that somehow held the warmth of home, laughter, and long-gone days.
Some of his most cherished memories were on the water, fishing in the East Bay Marsh or working in his shop.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Neichoy of Beaumont; step-daughter, Samantha Felts and her husband, Kevin, of Jasper; son, Perry Neichoy and his wife, Kay, of Boerne; daughter, Kimberlee Riley and her husband, David, of Franklin; sister, Eva Gail Riley of High Island; grandchildren, Amy Thompson Codi Cox, Benjamin Neichoy, Nathan Neichoy, Eli Neichoy, and Gabrel Neichoy; and great-grandchildren.
Preston is preceded in death by his parents; son, Ben Neichoy; and sister, Wilda Jenny Neichoy.
A graveside service for Mr. Neichoy will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 26, 2026, at High Island Cemetery, 1836 ½ 4th Street High Island, under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie.
