Rachel Juanita Hall, 89, of Kountze, died Wednesday, January 12, 2022.  She was born on September 4, 1932, in Midway, Texas, to Corrie Mae Crocker West and Luther O. West.

Survivors include her children, Dessie Griffin and her husband, Thomas; Carroll Hall and his wife, Phyllis; David Hall and his wife, Eva; and Billy Joe Hall and his wife, Margie, all of Honey Island; grandchildren, Heather Young and her husband, Jonathan, of Humble; Wendy Wells and her husband, Jerome, of Odessa; Shandala Hall and her husband, Ricky, of Colorado; Chasity Desormeaux and her husband, Todd, of Cleveland; Carol Evette Hall; Tommy Griffin and his wife, Amanda; and Travis Griffin and his wife, Jamie, all of Honey Island; David “DJ” Hall, Jr. and his wife, Barbara, of Fred; Sharlanda Hendrix of Honey Island; Dustin Hall and his wife, Tiffany, of Livingston; Christina Fowler and her husband, Ray, of Saratoga; Savannah Foster and her husband, Casey, of Kansas; Justin Callahan of Marion, Arkansas; Richard Lawson and his wife, Melissa, of Silsbee; Monica Bates and her husband, Stephen, of Lumberton; and Billy Joe “Little Joe” Hall of Honey Island; thirty-two great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Carroll West and his wife, Betty, of Madisonville and Ruby Rose and her husband, Bill, of Georgia.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, David C. Hall; son, Gary Lynn Hall; and siblings, Dorothy Parker, Mary Lou Crow, Nettie Lou Cook, Marshall West, James Irvin West, Paul West, and William West.

A gathering of Mrs. Hall’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Jordan Cemetery, Honey Island.  Please observe social distancing guidelines.
