Radames Linsao Arrieta

Radames Linsao Arrieta, 76, of Beaumont, died March 26, 2022, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. He was born on March 26, 1946, to Llerena Linsao Arrieta and Paterno Arrieta, in Manila, Philippines. Radames, known to his family and friends as Rady, enjoyed singing, playing guitar, and cooking. He was a skilled jack of all trades.

Survivors include his daughter, Aileen Arrieta of the Philippines; son, Alvin Arrieta and his wife, Jane; daughter, Angelyn Smithwick and her husband, Jack; sister, Asuncion Mendoza; brother, Roldan Arrieta and his wife, Maria; sister, Almeda Lanuza and her husband, Hermogenes; brothers, Ramon Arrieta, and Robert Arrieta and his wife, Joyce, all of Fannett; grandchildren, Jovi Caalim and his wife, Casey, Mae Arrieta, Carlo Caalim and his wife, Zhen, Lerene Arrieta, Marie Arrieta, Chloe Arrieta, Abigail Bloxom, and James Smithwick; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Caalim, Arkin Caalim, Juan Caalim, Kevin Caalim, Luis Caalim, Aiden Caalim, Aiyanna Caalim, Nicole Caalim, and Madeleine Cruz; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Cleotilde Arrieta; his parents; and brother-in-law, Dr. Rogelio Mendoza.

A gathering of Mr. Arrieta’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Friday, April 1, 2022, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Broussard’s. His cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.

    My heart is saddened to hear about Rady’s passing. I worked with him for many years at J&J Manufacturing. He was a very talented employee that could fix anything. Rady was a very nice guy that I called my friend.
