Ray was my grandpa Marvin “Slick” Sanders best friend, and my happiest memories were with both of them. From Fields’s Ranch to the lease on FM 1136, helping Ray with cattle and bailing hay, Ray was like a second grandpa to me. He always encouraged me and along with my grandfather, was protective of me. He was a hero, storming the beaches of Normandy. I played his sisters funeral not long ago, and was sad he was not feeling well enough to be able to attend. I’m glad I got to send a message to him via family. He was a devout Catholic, and my grandfather and me both thought he was one of the strongest men we had ever known. I am sorry I was unable to attend the visitation or funeral. My thoughts and prayers are with David and his family. He’s the reason I kept my middle name—Ray.

Mr. Terrell was a true American Hero, but also a very humble man. He will truly be missed by all of us at St. Maurice Catholic Church in Mauriceville.. He and Ms. Sue would be in “their pew” every Sunday and everyone was excited to see and visit with them.
May Mr. Ray be granted Eternal Rest and may God’s Perpetual Light shine upon him!
We all loved you and will miss you terribly!

A dear friend for many years.
    Prayers for David and family
So wish could attend, but my heath is not the best. Will be thinking of you all. So glad got to visit with him last year.
