Renee Moity

Veronique “Renee” Moity, 49, of Nederland, died Friday, September 16, 2022, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur. She was born October 4, 1972, in Nederland, to Helen Ann Furlong Moity and Clarence James Moity, Jr.

Renee worked at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur for fifteen years. She was active within the Jeep Community and loved being a part of parades and fundraisers with Southeast Texas Jeepers. Everyone knew her as “Showboat”.

Renee loved bowling and attending bowling tournaments. She considered everyone at the bowling alley family. Every week you knew she was rooting for her New York Giants and Houston Astros.

Anyone that met Renee would say she was the life of the party. She always had a smile on her face and would make you laugh like no other. She will be remembered as a best friend to many, a wonderful sister, and a loving daughter.

Survivors include her father, C.J. Moity, Jr. of Port Neches; and siblings, James Moity, Shelly Moity, both of Nederland, and Rebekah Moity of Houston.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Helen Moity and grandparents, Bill and Virginia Furlong; Ruby Bonsall; and Clarence Moity, Sr.

A gathering of Ms. Moity’s family and friends will be 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m., Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m., at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, 618 Block Street, Port Neches.
