Reverend Thompson Perkins

August 4, 1928 - November 8, 2020

Thompson Perkin, the seventh of seven children, was born August 4, 1928, in Eunice,LA to Elijah Perkins and Emily Victoria. Thompson left Louisiana at an early age to join his brothers in Texas. Like many of his generation, he performed many different types of work but was particularly favored to mechanics.

Raised as a Catholic, Thompson’s continued relationship with God and his love for the Word inspired him to become an ordained minister at the mid-point of his life.

On November 8, 2020, this Good and Faithful Servant was called to reunite with his Parents: Emily and Elijah Perkins; Wife Mercy Dee; Brothers: Francis, Melvin, Albert, and Wilson Perkins, Sisters: Mary Wade and Patsy Dixon; and Sons: Ronald and Gerald Perkins.

Rev. Perkins leaves multiple generations of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends to cherish and honor his memory.

Reverend Perkins’ Graveside Service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Mt. Zion Missionary Cemetery, 501 Felix Road, Anahuac, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
