“Richard performed brilliantly at everything he did. I’ve never met someone as outstandingly brilliant as my friend Richard. His talents and knowledge defy the limits of diverse disciplines of a loving husband, father, entrepreneur, gemologist, and seeker of truths. He will be missed but not forgotten. Richard was my hero. One of the last true renaissance men to inspire us.” – Thad Heartfield

I was blessed to meet Richard about 9 years ago, working for his dedicated wife Rita.
I learned a lot from his humility and his intentions to make other people value everything that life gives us.
He quickly became part of my family, he was a friend, brother, father, a mentor to me.
He took my family in as part of his family and was a great inspiration to me and my son.
There are no words to describe the great love we have for him and his family.
He will always be present in our hearts
Vaya con Dios Amigo!!!!
Richard Ashley, said simply, was to the earth, what the sun is to our universe. From the day he was born as a young and explosive fireball, he lived a life of insatiable curiosity. As he matured, that unquenchable desire for knowledge never slowed and it grew into the brilliant man we all knew.
According to some philosophers, there are three types of light – resolve, kindness and love.
• The type of resolve Richard expressed, set boundaries to better life, God knows we need that.
• The type of kindness he emitted, never required energy, it was his way of living.
• The type of love bursting out of him, was meant for everyone who had the guts to share in his curiosity.
I can honestly say that I have never met a better man, friend, or teacher than Richard Ashley.
Ricardo – you will be so missed, but enjoy that big old sky and learn on!
