Rita Dianne Reeves

Rita Dianne Reeves, 72, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, March 10, 2026. She was born to Evelyn Louise McKnight and Edgar E. Smith, Jr. on August 30, 1953, in Beaumont.

Survivors include husband, James H. Reeves; siblings, Edgar Smith III and his wife, Reba, and Patricia Smith Puente; and beloved pet, Stella.

She is preceded by her parents; siblings, Linda Hebert and Mike Smith; brother-in-law, Richard Puente; and beloved pets, Dolly, Cookie, Nyla.

A graveside service for Mrs. Reeves will be 10 a.m., Friday, March 20, 2026, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont. Her cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Drive, Beaumont.
