Robbin Cater

April 21, 1966 - January 19, 2025

Robbin Tucker Cater, 58, of LaBelle, Texas, passed from this life on January 19, 2025, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. She was born on April 21, 1966, in Athens, Texas, before moving to and attending school in Sikes, Louisiana. When she was 19, she went on to meet her husband of 38 years, Gary Cater, and the two had settled in Groves, Texas, shortly after, where she lived most of her life. Together they had raised 4 children and cared for 10 grandchildren.

Robbin enjoyed listening to Willie Nelson, shopping, going to church, and spending time with her family. She was selfless with her love for her family and friends. Her heart sought out to aid and her love knew no bounds.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Judy and Tommy Tucker, of Rusk, Texas, and niece, Ashlie Ballard, of Winnfield, Louisiana.

Survivors include her husband, Gary Cater; daughter, Alicia Cater, of Dallas, Texas; son, Terry Cater and wife, Dulce, of Port Arthur, Texas ; daughter, Michelle Alexander and husband, Bryce, of Ball, Louisiana; son, Jacob Cater, of Groves, Texas; grandsons, Aaron, Alex, Damian and Jaxson Cater, Mason Vilo, Lucas and Levi Alexander; granddaughters, Ava Cater, Riley and River Alexander; sister, Teresa Tucker, of Fannett, Texas; brother, Corey Tucker and wife, Joyce, of Athens, Texas; as well as a host of other family and friends.

A gathering of Mrs. Cater’s family and friends will begin at 2:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, January 26, 2025 at LaBelle Baptist Church, 9400 FM 365, Beaumont, Texas, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland, Texas. Her graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 27, 2025, at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, 1800 FM 241, Rusk, Texas.

    I will miss my childhood friend from grade school at Sikes. She always had a kind word to say. She will be missed. I’m glad she isn’t ill anymore, and I have no doubt she is with our Lord and Savior. We will see her again. Praying for her family.
